• Our laboratory conducts research on solar energy devices, a promising field within next-generation clean energy. We primarily focus on developing various crystalline silicon (c-Si) based solar cells using nano/micro technology.
• A representative research achievement is the realization of transparent solar cells using crystalline silicon wafers, which are traditionally known to be opaque. Furthermore, we have maximized light absorption by applying a microwire structure. These are innovative results that overcome the conventional limitations associated with the difficulty of silicon transparency and maximizing light absorption. Beyond this, we are actively expanding our fundamental solar cell technologies into diverse applications, including Perovskite/Silicon tandem solar cells and solar-to-fuel production technologies that utilize solar cells.
