Interfacial Physics and Chemistry Laboratory

• Interfacial Physics and Chemistry Laboratory(IPCL) focuses on fundamental understanding of physics and chemistry at interfaces / surfaces ranging from biosurfaces(i.e., lipid membranes, protein films, biopolymers), polymeric films, and inorganic surfaces(i.e., metals and metal oxides). We aim to use our knowledge to develop high performance polymeric and / or polymer composite materials for various purposes such as functional adhesives(e.g. underwater, stretchable, biocompatible, conductive, hydrophilic), lubricants(ocular, synovial, high and low temperature), and coatings(hydro-philic / phobic, aero-philic / phobic, antifouling).
