Electrochemical Materials & System Design Lab.
- Our lab(EMSDL) is conducting research on next-generation secondary battery(electrode and electrolyte material development / interfacial stabilization / mechanism improvement) to overcome the problems such as the limited energy density, rising materials prices, degradation and explosiveness during operation.
- Furthermore, to overcome the price increase of key raw materials for lithium ion batteries such as Li, Co, and Ni, we’re striving to develop new materials and methodologies for more convenient, eco-friendly and economical recycling of waste batteries. Battery development and recycling research activities cover the entire life cycle(birth & death) of secondary batteries and provide new perspectives and opportunities that have not been seen from traditional outlook.
