    2013  1st term  nobel & star fellowship

     

    purpose: to nurture nobel prize winners at unist

      who may apply: excellent students in combined master's-doctoral or the doctoral courses (including freshmen)  who made outstanding research performances (e.g. published thesis of sci level (as first author) or dissertation on the famous academic journals) under the agreement with world class overseas scholars and research lab.

     ※ field of research of steve granick’s lab :  soft matter chemistry and physics, bio-imaging, polymer, physical chemistry (majored in chemistry, physics, chemical engineering, bioengineering, biomedical science & other majors are eligible by petition)

     

    amount & terms: max. 90m. for 3years + dispatch expenses max. 30m.

    – opportunity of dispatch to world class lab. for more than 6months

    – research/thesis guidance from both world class scholars (nobel laureates) and unist faculty members

     

    screening process  (schedules of 2013- 1st  term)

    1st step: receiving application forms (application due date: apr. 15th, 2013)

       2nd step: x-x-document evaluation by unist professors (until apr. 25th,2013)

    3rd step: final evaluation & interview by graduate committee (tentative: may. mid, 2013)

    ※ final evaluation schedule can be changed, according to gpf selection schedule.

    3. letter of recommendation & research achievements
